Florida Man Arrested for Threatening Trump with Missile Attack
Authorities in Florida have arrested a man accused of making violent threats against former President Donald Trump during a recorded 911 call.
Justin Blaxton, of Loxahatchee, allegedly told dispatchers that he had access to missile silos and planned to attack Trump and New York City, according to reports.
A probable cause affidavit from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) states that Blaxton, who identified himself as “Justin Blaze,” made multiple threats, including saying he wanted to assassinate Trump and burn down houses. He also reportedly demanded transportation to the airport, allegedly to carry out his threats.
Blaxton faces charges of threatening to use a destructive device, making a false bomb report, and misusing emergency services. His bond was set at $35,000, and he made his first court appearance on Wednesday, according to CBS 12 News.
The PBSO’s affidavit also noted that Blaxton has a history of mental illness. A risk protection order was issued against him on March 3 to prevent further threats.

Former Secret Service agent John Russell told CBS 12 News that Blaxton’s threats appeared to stem from mental illness rather than a credible plan.
This arrest comes amid heightened security concerns following an attempted assassination of Trump at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, last July. During that attack, shooter Thomas Crooks wounded Trump’s right ear, killed one person, and severely injured another before being killed by Secret Service agents.
Later that year, the Secret Service reportedly stopped another threat at Trump’s golf course in Palm Beach, Florida.
In response to these security issues, Trump appointed longtime agent Sean Curran as the new director of the Secret Service. Curran, who helped shield Trump during the assassination attempt, is expected to lead efforts to strengthen security around the former president.
