We are heartbroken to learn of Maryanne Trump Barry’s passing at the age of 86.
As the elder sister of former President Donald J. Trump, Maryanne lived a remarkable life distinguished by her significant contributions to the judiciary.
She was discovered in her New York City apartment on November 13th, where first responders were called, but sadly, she had already passed away.
Maryanne had an illustrious career, including her role as a senior judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. She was appointed to the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey by President Ronald Reagan in 1983 and later to the Court of Appeals by President Bill Clinton in 1999, showcasing her unwavering commitment to justice.
In recent years, Maryanne faced scrutiny over alleged financial irregularities involving her family, which led to her retirement in 2019.
Despite any differences with her brother Donald, her passing is a significant loss for the Trump family.
Our heartfelt condolences go out to the Trump family as they grieve the loss of an exceptional woman and devoted public servant.
